anyway I used to cheer for critter, but stockfish is cool too.
from the big names i like fritz.

never liked houdini since the days of rybka.

Laser and Fizbo are both n00bs on the TCEC scene. Guess I'll root for Fizbo since I like its colorful logo better.

I didn't know that there is the "official" computer chess championship (WCCC), although they compete in person and there aren't as many participants as in TCEC. They have been going at it since 1974.

There's also a trippy fictional movie about this I recommend, "Computer Chess". You should watch it on Netflix this weekend.
