Having been forced to stay away from my computer for 10 days, I did what any sane developer would and played around with LiChess Tools on my mobile all the time, testing various features and finding a lot of bugs.
Therefore the version 2.3.71 has a lot of bug fixes. But also, some new features:
- a new Play layout tool that allows one to hide the left side of the screen when playing or (a more moderate approach that I recommend) giving you the option to toggle the chat while saving some space.
- a new mobile option to swap user and clock so that your hand doesn't always cover the clock and makes you time out (especially in bullet and such)
- changes to the Profile slider options. Now not only does it show the text of the interval chosen, but it also updates the range of the slider so you can work with small intervals and adds a "one week" button.
- a possible fix for computer engine eval freezes - you have to turn that on - by forcing it to reinitialize itself when you toggle it off and on again
Also, some great news! The next YouTube Lichess Candidates broadcast will use LiChess Tools for the OBS integration! I will post the link soon, if I have it. Also the process of optimizing the interaction between LiChess Tools and Lichess has resumed and soon many of the biggest hurdles for using the extension will vanish.
