Season 11 - Fourth Level - Group G

It’s crunch time as we head into the final month of the 11th Correspondence League – with titles, promotions and relegations all set to be decided.

The final three rounds will all be played simultaneously from Saturday, and the beauty of the format means no promotions have yet been confirmed and the only relegations are down to withdrawals.

Here is how things stand in your group ahead of rounds seven, eight and nine. A reminder – if two players finish on the same score, the following tiebreaks will apply in this order:

#1: Points vs. tied participants
#2: Match wins
#3: Sonnerborn-Berger score against group (not calculated in these league tables).

I’ve tried to include the various tiebreaks in the tables.

Group G (tier 4)
1. Don_Tonio P6 Pts 12
2. Sir_Sly P7 Pts 11
--------------------------------------
3. Vodka-For-All P5 Pts 9
4. Krystophyr P6 Pts 7
5. QueenRosieMary P6 Pts 6
6. Schachwikinger P5 Pts 4 (Sonnenborn-Berger calculation required with mariuszmitoraj)
7. mariuszmitoraj P5 Pts 4
8. CelestineProphet P6 Pts 3
--------------------------------------
9. TahoeRed P5 Pts 2
10. MrKeanu P9 Pts 2 (R) (withdrawn)

Don_Tonio is setting a blistering pace with six wins from six, and results against mariuszmitoraj (round six) and third placed Vodka-For-All (round seven) would be enough to seal promotion.

But it's quite the fight below him for the second promotion spot. Sir_Sly is currently the player in possession but has played more games than Vodka-For-All and Krystophyr in the chasing pack.

Elsewhere, QueenRosieMary is almost safe, perhaps needing one more point to make sure. But everyone in the bottom half still has work to do to avoid finish second bottom and joining the withdrawn MrKeanu in the relegation spots. Just two points separates sixth to ninth as things stand, with TahoeRed vs CelestineProphet in round seven looking a particularly important game.

Best of luck to all competitors in your final three games!
