why not to create chess tournaments for beginners ?
Because currently you cannot specify rating range in the "Create a new tournament" page for the entering players. So every tournament is open for all, if I am not mistaken.
i think it is a good thing being able to play stronger opponents than yourself. if you don't challenge yourself you won't be a better player. if you don't want to be a better player and just want to focus on your level rated guys to get some rating points or to keep some lose/win rate which i don't give a sht for example, you should just seek games from that level.
#3 but if a tournament was created for example for the 1400-1600 players and your rating was 1450 it will be better than playing against a player whose rating is 1900
